Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week and I wanted to make something super-cute for my son’s 5th grade teacher. She’s the BEST! I also needed to make cookies for my daughter. She is a director for a company where they tutor kids in math and she wanted me to make some cookies for her instructors. I decided on these pencil and apple Teacher Appreciation Cookies.
I used my Sweet Sugarbelle Shapeshifter Cookie Cutter Set again. I love these big pencils. Aren’t they the cutest?! For the apples I used two different sizes of apple cutters. I piped the A+ on each of the larger apples. I LOVE the way they turned out. I outlined each color first and then filled in with the flood icing in each color.
After I decorated the cookies, I found these adorable Smart Cookie Tags on Pinterest to attach to the cookie bags. HOW cute is that? Everyone loved them. I had so much fun with these. The end of the year is coming up so keep these in mind for your kids’ teachers!
In addition to my cookie-making I had a pretty busy week last week. My daughter graduated with her second bachelor’s degree. This degree was for Studio Arts and the other one is for math. We are SO proud of her! She worked so hard for this. Good job Lex! We love you!!
This week I will be working on some cookies AND cupcakes. Keep your eyes peeled for the post!
